Itineraries

Day 1

Arrive and overnight in Arusha

Your international flight will arrive at Kilimanjaro International Airport, home to the ‘The Roof of Africa’, Mount Kilimanjaro. After clearing immigration and collecting your luggage, you’ll be met by the Exclusive Wilderness Trails safari guide who will be waiting for you at arrivals. You will drive to your accommodation in Arusha, and on a clear day you may have views of Kilimanjaro en-route. After a long day travelling you may want to rest, but if you want to keep yourself busy until the evening we can arrange a city tour or other experiences dependent on your interests. Day 2

Tarangire National Park

From our hotel after your breakfast we drive to Tarangire National Park for some very rewarding game drives. Tarangire National Park has some of the highest population density of elephants anywhere in Tanzania, and its sparse vegetation, strewn with baobab and acacia trees, makes it a beautiful and special location. Before the rains, herds of gazelle, wildebeest, zebra, and giraffes migrate to Tarangire National Park’s scrub plains where the last grazing land still remains. Day 3

Serengeti National Park

We leave Lake Manyara for a drive to the Western part of the Serengeti where breathtaking landscapes, endless plains and abundant wildlife await you. The Serengeti is a UNESCO World Heritage Site that is sure to capture your imagination. This part of the Serengeti is the ideal location for marveling at the annual migration of large herds of animals at this time of the year. Often spotted in the Serengeti are elephants, hippos, lions, zebras, wildebeests, cheetahs, leopards and more. Accommodation: Kubu Kubu-Tented Lodge (Fb)

Day 4

Center Serengeti

The game drive through Center Serengeti region of the. The Seronera area of the Serengeti has a high concentration of lions. It also offers some of the most picturesque and scenic landscapes in the Serengeti. Endless plains are sprinkled with large scattered outcrops of granite rock formations that are often favored by lions as the perfect hideouts for a lazy afternoon sleep. Day 5

Ngorongoro Conservation Area/Olduvai gorge

After breakfast you will head out for an en route game drive through the Serengeti. You may spot the “Big Five” – lion, elephant, buffalo, rhino and leopard – before embarking on your journey to Ngorongoro Crater. The animals roam freely through the unfenced reserves offering you an uninterrupted game viewing experience. Arriving at the edge of the crater you will have your first glimpse of what awaits you. Day 6

Ngorongoro Crater

Today you enjoy a full day of game viewing at the Ngorongoro Crater floor. Called the eighth wonder of the world, the crater won’t fail to take your breath away as you stand on the rim looking down a 10-mile wide crater floor with abundant wildlife. The Ngorongoro Crater is the largest unbroken volcanic caldera in the world covering approximately 260 sq. km’s with walls rising 600 meters from the crater floor. Before the Ngorongoro Volcano exploded and collapsed 2 million years ago, it was one of the world’s tallest mountains. Now, it is home to more than 30,000 large mammals – mainly gazelle, buffalo, eland, hartebeest and warthog – and has the highest predator density in the world. Day 7

Lake Manyara National Park –Kilimanjaro Airport

Today will drive to the Lake Manyara National Park for game drive. The spectacular national park is located at the northwestern corner of a shallow soda lake that it is named after, at the foot of the Great Rift Valleys western escarpment. Manyara is not only known for its large flocks of flamingos but also for the elusive tree climbing lions, continuing to Kilimanjaro Airport for the evening flight.
