Day to Day Itinerary

 
 
On your arrival at Kilimanjaro International Airport, home to the ‘The Roof of Africa’, Mount Kilimanjaro, you’ll be met by your driver who will be waiting for you at arrivals. You will drive to your accommodation in Arusha, and on a clear day you may have views of Kilimanjaro en-route. After a long day travelling you may want to rest, but if you want to keep yourself busy until the evening we can arrange a city tour or other experiences dependent on your interests. You will have a private guide and vehicle throughout your safari in Tanzania, After your delicious breakfast we drive to Arusha National Park located just this side of the Arusha town about 37km, Arusha National Park. At its heart is the 4566m Mount Meru, popular with mountaineers. We’ll spend a full day in the park, maximizing our opportunities to spot the excellent range of animal and bird life it has to offer. A picnic lunchbox is included in the day tour. At around 17.00, we make the short return journey back to Arusha City, where we should arrive around 18.00 to drop you off at your hotel. After breakfast, you drive to Tarangire National Park where your safari starts. This lovely park boasts the largest concentrations of elephants in the world and the highest number of breeding bird species. Especially during the dry season, Tarangire National park is packed with wildlife. Big cats like lions, cheetahs and leopards, but also the seldom seen Kudu, Oryx and Gerenuk. If you are lucky you can even spot the tree-climbing python. After dinner at the Tarangire Safari Lodge you will depart for 2 hours of night game drive to look for nocturnal animals that are never seen in day time, like aardvarks, porcupine bush babies and others. After your breakfast at your hotel we game en route to Serengeti National Park. Serengeti is the largest and most famous park in Tanzania, known worldwide for its endless plains, wildebeest-migration, herds of lions and other predators like hyenas, cheetahs and leopards. Crocodiles can be found in the Grumeti River, as well as hippos, giraffes, antelopes, and gazelles. Accommodation: Kubu -kubu Tented Lodge (DLB) Serengeti Migration
You have another full day to explore this magnificent land, you may see cheetah, giraffe, lion, leopard, elephant - the list is endless. And each year it is the scene of the great migration where millions of wildebeest and zebra make their annual trek in search of fresh grass. Spend your final day in the Serengeti National Park making the most of the sweeping open plains of the Serengeti and trying to see as much wildlife as possible, we will leave the Serengeti after lunch and drive to Ngorongoro conservation area passing some very scenic landscapes. En route to the Olduvai Gorge, a world-renowned archeological site Olduvai Gorge that has been called the “Cradle of Mankind “afterwards we continue to the lodge. Today you set off towards the Ngorongoro Crater for a beautiful game drive. It shelters close to 30.000 animals including the Big Five. The crater teems with zebras, buffaloes, lions, wildebeest, warthogs, baboons, elephants, flamingos, ostriches, hippos, cheetahs and a small population of the rare black rhino. The beautiful colors and dancing clouds make the crater almost surreal. Because of its natural beauty the Ngorongoro Crater is chosen as one of Africa’s Seven Natural Wonders. You will set off towards Lake Manyara National Park, the route taking you through small farming villages. Lake Manyara National Park is one of Tanzania’s most intensely located wildlife areas, consisting of a shallow soda lake at the foot of the Great Rift Valley’s western escarpment. You’ll make your way through dense mahogany forest before coming out to find the lake dotted with pink flamingos and other species – Lake Manyara is an excellent bird watching destination. Other wildlife here includes hippo, buffalo, zebra, giraffe, elephant and wildebeest. If you’re lucky, you may see a leopard lounging in the branches of a tree or one of Manyara’s tree-climbing lion (the only place in Tanzania that you will find this.
